Hello friends and neighbors. Several of you have asked us to create a website to share the ride before we leave for New Zealand. Great idea! Why not?

Below is a quick overview of our route. We will be driving the entire time, starting on the North Island for 10 days, then on to the South Island for a longer stay. All destination drives will be less than 3.5 hours, except the Wanaka to Fox Glacier leg and all our lodging will be AirBnbs with full kitchens.

We’ll start posting photos when we settle in to our first stop at Waitomo. From there will upload daily as we travel to each of our 12 stops in the North and South islands, so check in often. Kate will add her delicious thoughts and insights on her journal page.

Here goes . . . bear with us as we figure this out.
